The Destin Fishing Rodeo has been taking place every October since then, and it’s now one of the most popular fishing events in the country. Every year, over 30,000 anglers come to Destin to take part in the Rodeo.
There are two main parts to the Destin Fishing Rodeo: the weigh-ins and the tournament.
The weigh-ins take place at HarborWalk Village, and they’re open to the public. Go behind Aj’s Seafood and Oyster House from 10am to 7pm to see daily weigh-ins. This is your chance to see some of the biggest fish that have been caught during the event! The tournament is a bit more exclusive – only boats that are registered for the event can participate. But don’t worry, you can still cheer on the anglers from the docks!
